Bank account debited but membership plan still inactive

For the second time since September my bank account has been debited the €7.99 for the 100GB plan, however I log in to 48 and see my membership as 'inactive' with €0.01 credit. Customer support are quite aware that this is happening to a lot of people and sympathize, but it does not solve our being unable to make calls or access the internet. This is day three of waiting for the solution and no one is any the wiser. Yet 48 continue to debit accounts and accept payments for what they cannot provide owing to 'technical issues' All the pomp and blurb would have a person think that 48 know what they're at, when in fact it's just another dress on the same pig.
