Unlocking phone when I have a Spanish number?

TheresaC6598

Hi I have ordered my 48 sim, I currently have a Spanish number, I have read that when my sim arrives, I have to unlock my phone but I don't think that's possible with a Spanish number it has to be an Irish number, so do I just take out the Spanish sim and put in the 48 sim and register it?
Can someone help me please?
Theresa

Unlocking your phone for use on any network (if it's already locked to a specific network) has nothing to do with the phone number.

See here:

The phone needs to be unlocked to use it on 48.

If it's not locked to a specific network in Ireland or Spain then there's no problem and you can just install the 48 SIM after you have activated it.

You should probably read the New to 48 FAQs to understand the process of moving to 48:

If you need to contact 48 support about this then see the links in my signature below.
