48 said they will send a text when my porting is complete , do I need to put my 48 sim in or will they send it to my old sim

The porting security text is sent to the number that you want to port in order to verify that you own that number.

As such, you need the old provider's SIM installed and working in order to receive it.

I've had the following for several days now with no progress - "Your number is currently being ported over to 48. This can take a few hours. We'll text you when you're good to go." Any suggestions?

 

You'll probably need to contact 48 support if it's taking so long.
