After arriving back to my country I can no longer us my Sim

I went abroad, and it was a lil difficult to change to roaming at the start but I did it in the end. For one week I was able to make calls, use Internet and just my phone in general. When I got back to my home country my Sim card didnt seem to pick up the signal, or sometimes it does with just only two lines. Its been hours since I am not able to make calls or use my own Internet without the home WiFi. I restarted my phone several times, I turned on and off the airplane mode, I checked the settings and tried to change my mobile network operations to a manual one but it didnt let me. It said selected network (48) not available. I even took the sim out and put it back. At the start I thought the issue will resolve because sometimes my phone has a hard time to pick up the signal when I get off the plane. I assumed I would only have this issue for an hour but nah, its been more than 10 hrs at this point and I am just desperate to get my Internet back and calls. I either get 'Not registered on network' or
'Mobile network not available'

What does this mean?

  • When I got back to my home country my Sim card didnt seem to pick up the signal, or sometimes it does with just only two lines.

What exactly do you mean by "my country/my home country"?

If you mean Ireland then see here - the section titled "Returned Home?":

If you mean some other country or that doesn't help then you'll need to post back with more detailed information.

If you need to contact 48 support about this then see the links in my signature below.
