I would like to know if 48's 5G data speeds are restricted from what speeds are available. Any answers would be welcome. Thanks.

Why do you suspect that throttling is employed?
There's nothing in the terms and conditions about throttling.
You'll probably have to ask 48 support about this.

Hi, I am asking because of the following segment in their Terms and Conditions:
The estimated maximum upload and download speeds achievable at least once in any 24 hour period in realistic usage conditions (the "Contractual Estimated Maximum Upload and Download Speeds") under your agreement (per technology) made available are as follows:
Estimated max. (download) | Estimated max. (upload) | |
3G | 2.5Mbps | 0.49Mbps |
4G | 10Mbps | 2.8Mbps |
5G | 25Mbps | 5Mbps |

Thanks - but what does that have to do with throttling?
Did you contact 48 support to ask them about this?

I will do but when I got between 300 and 400 Mbps last week in a 5G enabled area and see that 48.ie are talking about an estimated Max of 25Mbps I thought it was a reasonable question to ask in the forum to see if anyone had an answer. Do you not think so?
