Resolved! Have credit but can't send a text

My membership ran out today, I still have credit but am unable to send a message. Can I not send a message with my credit or do I have to have membership?

2 weeks waiting on new nano sim. So frustrating to be told now it was never on the way despite being assured last week that it only takes 5-7days (site says 3-5).now 13 days later I have to reorder and start waiting again.....
