Waiting for a registration email

Hi, I registered online about 4 hours ago and I am waiting on an email with further instructions. My Vodafone account has obviously de activated as I have no service... do i leave my Vodafone sim in until I get the email or should I put my 48 sim in now? Will I be waiting long for the number to transfer as it is the weekend? I started the process during the opening hours?
