What can credit be used for?

Hi. I'm thinking of switching to 48. Scoured the FAQs but couldn't find an answer to this.

Does 48 let you send texts, etc., with credit like other providers or do you have to buy a membership? Some months I wouldn't use my phone enough to justify 11 euro that will just go down the drain, but I'd still like to have the option to send the very occasional text or make a call when I need to.

You need a membership to send texts, make calls and use data. If you don't have a membership then you can't do any of these. You can't use these services using cash credit alone and no active membership. Cash credit on your account is used to pay for out of membership bundle services, add-ons and memberships only.

That's... frustratingly narrow. I guess I'll stick with my current provider. Thanks for your help, though.
