As you know already 48 still don't support eSIMs, only physical SIMs.

iPhone Duo Support (eSIM)

With Apple’s iPhone Duo coming out in just about a month and a half, will 48 finally support eSIM in time for its release? It would be a serious shame for a €2k+ flagship to not be supported. And with the way Apple has been heading the past while, odds are Apple will soon enough do eSIM only even across their standard phone range.

The issue is that I’m going to be buying the Duo, but it will force me to switch away from 48 temporarily, which is rather unfortunate because I’m quite enjoying the service, pricing, and the overall no-bs model.
