To use a hotspot on 48...

First make sure that you have an active membership plan, your APN settings are configured correctly, and mobile data works for web browsing and connected apps.

Second, configure your hotspot as normal:

If you're using an iPhone you may need to read this too - in particular the section titled "A note about personal hotspot setup on iPhones":

I have the same issue as well with hotspot, I did the APN thing, it still won’t work, both my iPad and laptop won’t connect to my hotspot. When I was with Vodafone it works fine

If that doesn't help then please explain in detail at what point precisely the instructions don't work for you.

E.g. what exactly do you mean by "I did the APN thing"?

I didn’t see your reply first, when I say APN thing it just means I configured my phone. When I tried to join my iPad to my phone hotspot just comes up as “ unable to join…. Or unable to find Shirley’s phone “ I tried to turn off and on my both WiFi and Bluetooth it just won’t connect

Bluetooth is irrelevant to hotspot issues.

What exactly do you mean by "I configured my phone"?

Configuring the APN is only one step.

You also need to enable/configure the hotspot on your phone to make it available to other devices to connect to.

The instructions that I posted previously have worked for everyone else as far as I know.

At least nobody has ever come back to say that they didn't.

I don't know why they wouldn't work for you too.
