      <description>&lt;P&gt;Not sure about Eir (on whose network 48 operates) but Vodafone have switched off 3G data on their network:&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Are you not getting any 3G mobile data connectivity when your APN settings are configured correctly?&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;If you're on Android then you can text "APN" to 50048 and follow the instructions here to configure these settings:&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;If you configure the settings correctly and still don't get 3G connectivity/mobile data then maybe Eir have also started switching it off on their network too?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Either way it seems like 3G connectivity days are numbered so you might want to consider that.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;When I do a manual search for networks on my 4G phone the only 48 network that I see is "48 4G".&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I don't see any "48 3G".&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;My son has a 5G phone and I think that he sees "48 5G" and "48 4G".&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;So there may be no 3G option on 48 any more?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Although this suggests that Eir still do offer 3G coverage...&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Do you have a connection to the 48 network - i.e. signal bars?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;What make and model of phone is it?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You'll probably need to contact 48 support as I suggested above in order to clarify matters in this context.&lt;/P&gt;
