Phone says "not registered on any network"

my phone is displaying 'not registered on any network when I try and make a phone call, can you advise?

When was it working ok last?

Did anything change since then?

E.g. phone software update, settings changes, factory reset/restore, new phone handset, returned from roaming abroad, etc.?

What happens if you do a manual search for networks?

Can you see and connect to 48?
