Data roaming not working in UK

I am in Belfast. I need my google maps app to get back home to Donegal. It worked perfectly on the way up. Now it’s not working. I still have data left and topped up €10 also. I tried troubleshooting, tried sim applications-when abroad etc. still not working. Can you please help me

Unfortunately many people still seem to have problems when trying to use roaming services for some reason and nobody from 48 has ever explained why or provided a guaranteed fix.

As such, the usual generic advice for roaming issues applies...

If your SIM predates January 2023 then maybe get a replacement in case it helps with roaming issues:

If you can't get it working then a fallback might be to stop at a service station or other establishment with a WiFi connection and download the necessary maps for offline use.

BTW there was no need/point to topping up your cash credit balance.
