Scammers hijacked my phone number?

So I'm used to the other scam calls - anything sounds slightly off I hang up.
But this is new to me - people calling me saying they're returning a missed call - except I haven't made Any calls today.

3 calls today from randomers
Seeing others have had this problem - I'm guessing there's nothing I can do but wait till the scammers use another number?

This sort of number spoofing is a very common issue and not just on 48.

All you can do is follow the usual advice:

ComReg have floated the idea of requiring service providers to do more to tackle this sort of nuisance but nothing concrete has happened to date:
