Looking at that site it says that the iPhone 6 A1549 GSM (North America) model supports all Irish carriers' frequencies so if that's the one that you would be getting in Canada then I guess that it's compatible. But double check before buying to be sure.

This might also be of interest:

http://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/

Note that they don't list 48 (and other Irish virtual networks) there but they are supported as far as I know as most or all Irish virtual carriers (48, Tesco, Lycamobile, iD etc.) operate on the Three network. And Apple have this annoying thing about only recognizing specific networks and requiring activation on others which on 48 and other networks can involve an automatic activation process that silently sends a UK SMS which costs 25c and is not covered by normal membership allowances but the activation process doesn't actually tell you that this is needed or that it fails if you don't have sufficient cash credit to pay for the text...

Hope this helps.

Looking to buy an iPhone 6 in Canada and just concerned that the difference in GSM bands in Ireland and North America will effect the usage or coverage of my Phone on 48.

Many thanks,

Daniel

I don't know if Apple have different variants of each model with support for different regional frequencies?

One way or another this site may help to clarify if a specific make/model/variant of phone will work for you here:

http://willmyphonework.net/

Hope this helps.

Edit: oh - looks like Apple DO sell different variants of the iPhone 6 for different regions. So you will want to check what specific variant you are looking at and then check it on that site.
