network problem after updating network settings (I'm outside Ireland now)

Hi,

I have iPhone 5 and currently I am outside Ireland. My problem is that I had an information on my phone to update network settings. After doing so I can't connect to any network. I have "no service" or "searching" from few hours. Please help me as I am waiting for important message and phone calls tomorrow and I need to have network coverage.

I don't understand the "updating network settings" issue.

Any time I have roamed abroad I don't get anything like that.

Maybe it's an iPhone thing?
