Can you make calls/send texts?

Do you have membership?

What does your online account say about your membership, expiry date and calls/texts/data/cash credit balances?

Any chance you breached the fair usage limits and got barred for the remainder of your current monthly membership?

Can you receive texts?

Did sending ever work?

If so when did it stop and what changed just before it stopped?

If it never worked then is your SMSC number configured correctly:

And you seem to be using a Blackberry in which case you should look at this as it explains how to check/amend the SMSC number:

No it never worked it really frustrating ,I can make calls and texts ,and I have a membership

If you can't receive texts then make sure that your SMS inbox isn't full.

If you can't receive calls reliably then I don't know what's wrong unless it's a handset problem.

Do you receive any calls/texts?

Do you have any call redirection enabled by any chance?

Can you try another unlocked phone for a day or two to test maybe?

In only receiving texts from some people and I'm not receiving them from a lot of people and I'm not receiving any calls , this only started happening when I switched to 48 so I don't think it's the hand set

So hollystafford, can you Call/Text use Data?

This is unusual - ~~did your Phone work at all since changing to 48 or has it just occurred?~~ (Edited)

I have just seen you have previously posted it has has not worked since switching, odd that.

Is everything as it should on your 'My 48' page, you don't have any alert banner's/Notification message's there?

Hi Again - Run through the list Below

Check signal - Take Phone out of protective case if you have one, (it can hinder Network)
Reset network settings, Check your setting's are correct.
Reposition SIM card - Power off, Take card out, wipe gently and place back into card slot, Reboot.
Update iPhone/Sync with iTune's
Check With 48 Agent's that everything is as it should http://help.48months.ie/requests/new

Have you tried the sim in another handset??? Can you check if you can recieve text's/call's in that handset - any handset old or new will do...

This is quite important - it basically let's us know if it's the Sim or The handset causing the problem's.

You will need to keep the sim in for a bit to test this properly.

I cant try the sim in another handset because i don't have another one to test it with sorry! Try putting your phone on roaming mode when you have it setup. When i first changed mine over i wasnt able to use my data to use the internet, but then i set the phone on to roaming and it worked so maybe you could try that 🙂

I can't seem to decipher if you are answering as/for the person in the OP, or you are another user trying to advise, do you have two account's?
