These are the charges for making calls/sending tests while roaming in the US:

When you're roaming in the USA or Canada you'll pay:

Making calls and calling your voicemail	€1.99
Receiving calls	€1.89
Sending texts	39c
Receiving texts	Free

*All roaming charges are inc VAT. When making calls, the charge is in a per second increment after the first 30 seconds. Calls received are charged at a per second increment.

(Charges for calls are per minute).

It's pretty pricey so there might be more cost effective alternatives available!
