Hi 48,
For a few weeks now I have had terrible service. Usually when I am connected to wifi it will always say 'No Service' or 'Searching..'. This also happens when I'm at school whereas normally I would have a bit of coverage. It isn't good outside either but I will always have little or none when connected to wifi.

This is the second time that this has happened to me and I would really appreciate an answer to my problem as it is very inconvenient.

Thanks for your time,
Aoife

What's coverage like generally in your area?

http://community.48months.ie/t5/Most-Popular-Questions-Knowledge/What-s-the-network-coverage-like/ta-p/236

http://community.48months.ie/t5/Techie-Updates/Resolved-3G-coverage-issues-08-05-2013/m-p/5078#M125

Can you try another unlocked phone to see if that works OK? If it does then it's most likely your phone that has a problem.

Hope this helps.

The coverage is normally perfect. It's ever since I went to Irish college where my phone would be turned off for three weeks, a week at a time.

I'll try the sim in another phone.

Thanks for your help

What do you mean by "no service"?

No signal/signal bars at all?

Or you have signal bars but cannot make calls/send texts?

If you have no signal at all then presumably the SIM did not get registered/activated properly.

If you have a signal but cannot make calls/send texts and have bought membership already then something else is wrong.

Either way you should probably contact 48 suppport using the link that I posted above which explains how to do this.

Hope this helps.
