I already have my 48 account set up on my old phone with my old number already transferred. I just bought an unlocked iPhone 5 and had to get a nano sim for it. I am now trying to get my old number transferred to the nano Sim but it is saying the number already exists. What do i do to get my old number on to the Nano sim?

Hi danceaven92

Are you sure you ordered a replacement nano sim? Or did you just order a standard nano sim?
A replacement sim cancels your old 48 sim and allows the new one to work , with your number.
If not you will have to order a replacement sim and follow the steps:
http://www.48months.ie/help/losthandset

However,
If you don't want to wait for a replacement sim, you can simply get your other original working SIM card cut to fit your iPhone5 !
This is a standard procedure that many phone outlets do often for free or one or two euro.
Car phone warehouse do this and it will leave your sim perfectly fit for your iPhone.

Yours
Camille

Community Helper

Yes I just realised I did it wrong, I ordered a new nano sim not a replacement nano sim. Problem is I have already registered my new sim now and it won't let me use it as a replacement sim now. Also I have ordered a replacement sim and now my old sim is out of use. So, is there anyway I can get my old sim back up and running and cancel the replacement sim order and then I will just get it cut to fit my phone?

Thanks again for the help Camille.

Dan.

This is my old account. This is the account I ordered the replacement sim from. Dancraven92 is the new account for the new sim I accidentally registered. So it will be from this account that I want to cancel the ordering of the replacement sim and get the old sim working again so I can get it cut. Thanks. Sorry if its all confusing.

Dan.

If you already have a working SIM you can order a NEW SIM and then get your account/membership/credit/number transferred over - see here:

http://community.48months.ie/t5/Need-Help/Changing-from-normal-sim-to-micro-sim/m-p/7238#M2325

Hope this helps.
