Are you using an iPhone?
If so then it's almost certainly the usual iPhone roaming issue.

What do I do if no service is coming up after I connect to an irishrail wifi on the way home from Dublin?

What happens if you switch the phone off and on again?
And maybe search for networks manually?
Can you see and connect to 48?
If not then you may need to contact 48 support for more assistance.
