Samsung Galaxy phones seem to be a right pain in terms of spontaneously losing their settings and sometimes even relocking after having been unlocked.

A prompt for SIM network PIN almost certainly means that the phone thinks that it's locked to another network (again?) - especially if the SIM PIN (PIN1) doesn't work.

I have never seen explanations for these problems with Samsung Galaxy phones or fixes/workarounds that are guaranteed to work.

I can only assume that these things happen when the phone has received some sort of software update but even that isn't clear.

Samsung Galaxy phones seem second only to iPhones in terms of hassles that people have for no good reason.

Try switching off, taking the SIM out, clean the SIM contacts gently, reinsert it and switch on - any difference?

If not then you may need to contact 48 support but if it's a phone issue I'm not sure what they will be able to do.

http://www.48months.ie/help#ask-a-48-agent

Hope this helps.
