Are you sure that it's a firmware issue and not something else - perhaps more basic? e.g. ...

Have you registered/activated the 48 SIM?

Have you bought membership?

Have you manually selected the 48 network (or O2 if you don't see 48 listed as a separate network)?

Have you enabled [national] data access which may sometimes be needed to get a signal?

Does your SIM work in another unlocked phone?

That sort of stuff.

Hope this helps.

hi there!

i've recently bought a BB Curve 9360, O2 locked, i found the MEP and it seemed to accept it but it won't let me initiate or receive calls. I then went to O2 and explained that and a "nice guy" told me to sell off my phone because there's no solution left (funny guy:). i'm thinking of removing the O2 firmware but i can't find any for this model, does anyone know what's left for my problem or should i just go for a chinese shop?

if there is a similar thread i apologize, i haven't found one yet 😞

cheers!

Fair enough - I just thought I'd ask since it was not obvious that you had checked out all the other issues! I guess you may need to fine alternative firmware so. Google should help if such firmware exists. I guess you could log a support query asking 48 for help but I'm not sure that it's their problem really.

Hope this helps.
