is there good network coverage in america? will i still have free texts and free calls to all irish mobiles in america?

I presume that the coverage is good but maybe somebody from 48 can comment.

You will not have free calls/texts when roaming as far as I know - even to Irish mobiles. You will have to pay the charges listed on the pricing page for roaming in North America:

I presume that the charges for making and receiving calls are per minute rather than flat rate but it's not totally clear.
