I have just moved to 48, kept my number & paid membership. I cannot send or receive sms messages or phone calls.

What happens when you try to make a call or send a text?

Any error messages?

Are you sure what you have an active membership plan on your My48 account dashboard?

Are you sure that the phone is unlocked for use on any network?

Do you have a connection to the 48 network - i.e. signal bars?

Are there any error messages displayed on the phone?

Is it an iPhone by any chance?

If it is then it may need to go through the silly Apple activation process on the 48 network.

This involves the phone silently sending an SMS message to a UK activation server.

And this will fail silently if there isn't cash credit on your account to pay for the international text message.

If this might be the issue then you might want to try putting €1 cash credit on your account, turn the phone off and on again, wait a little while, and see if that makes any difference.

(You'll also need to have an active membership plan plus cash credit on your account for international texts to send).
