Auto renew failed

Auto renew failed. I then turned it off to manually renew. Choose my usual 7.99 sup which I have for years. Nothing updated. Logged in an plan says I've paid 12.99 for 20gb - I didn't but still have no membership??

You don't need to switch auto-renewal off in order to manually buy a membership plan.

What does your Transactions page say about your recent payment?

Does your My48 account dashboard say that you have an active membership plan?

Where does it say that you've "paid 12.99 for 20gb"?

What exactly does it say?

What exactly is/isn't working?

Connection to the 48 network - i.e. signal bars?

Incoming/outgoing calls?

Incoming/outgoing texts?

Mobile data?

What happens when you try to use outgoing services?

Any error messages?

Payment/transactions indicate €7.99. dashboard now says it will renew on 21st July (tomorrow)???
I can't recreate it now but a circular tickbox was highlighted at 12.99. However, im still confused: will it auto renew after midnight tonight? Why now does it say 21st? Why didn't it auto renew on 20 July? I'm prepared to wait til tomorrow as I'm at home with BB wifi if it does renew itself.

Hi I don't know exactly what you mean by stacked - sorry. Under the 'plan' page I see two circles: left indicates practically used up (103.83GB) while right circle says 338.0Mins. beneath these there are two black areas 1 saying in green 100GB with paid ticked. The other says will auto renew on Aug 20th?

Sounds to me like the first one is the one that you just purchased and which will start when your current plan expires at midnight tonight or tomorrow?

Tissues what I meant by stacked/queued to start when your current plan expires.

You haven't clarified what exactly is/isn't working.

You might want to contact 48 support for assistance as they will be able to see your account and not have to guess at all the questions that I've been asking in an attempt to better understand your issue.

What isn't working is the auto renew which should have kicked in just after midnight last night - when my plan was due to renew. As I've said I thought if I cancel auto renew (after it failed) to buy manually and then turn it on again but, as you say, maybe it now will not activate til after midnight tonight? TBH I don't mind as long as I start my membership again after midnight. Why didn't it auto renew automatically after midnight on Sunday night though?

As I said, you never needed to disable auto-renewal in order to buy a membership plan manually.

But membership plans never start early - only when the current plan expires.

As I understand things...

You have an active membership plan that runs until tonight or tomorrow at midnight - I'm not clear which date applies.

You have another plan that you manually purchased stacked/queued on your account to kick in when the above plan expires.

Then the next auto-renewal will be in August.

If you need specific clarification then you should contact 48 support as they will have full visibility of your account and won't have to guess at some of the details as I have to.
