SIM not working

My sim is not showing any signs of signal. No calls can be made or received, no texts can be sent or received . I have a duel sim phone and the second sim is working perfectly. I removed rhe sim and put it back in again , turned on and off and still no joy. Help appreciated

Did it ever work?

Can you get a 48 network connection with it?

Is the phone unlocked for use on any network?

What carrier is the second SIM for?

Does the 48 SIM work if you switch it to the other SIM slot?

Do you have an active membership?
