Again your screenshot isn't displaying properly for some reason.

In general I find the web interface to my My48 account much more reliable than the app for many years now.

I don't use the app at all because it's often so unreliable and doesn't really provide much in the way of disposal convenience over the web interface.

However I think that they're is one thing that can only be done on the app - importing contacts so that you can used them for Flexi Data purposes.

You'll have to give your specific feedback on the app to 48 directly at they don't generally monitor or respond to posts here on the Community Forum.

Every time I try to Carryover or unlock some data, I get the below error.

Today I tried to Carryover 5GB and got the error. Now it's telling me that I carried over the data, and 5GB has been deducted from my balance. Did it actually carry over though? There shouldn't be that error.

Your screenshot doesn't display properly.

> got the error. Now it's telling me that I carried over the data, and 5GB has been deducted from my balance. Did it actually carry over though

Sounds like it did in spite of the error.

If I recall correctly the app is broken a long time when it comes to some or all of the Flexi Data features.

Maybe you can do what you need using the website instead?

If not then you'll have to contact 48 support for assistance.

I'm a new customer & tried to use the carryover today. I got the same error. Then I saw that the 5GB is showing on my usage pictogram / donut / whatever-the-dashboard-visual-aid-is-called. And it shows on my Flexi Data Transaction History. But it does not show in "The Bank".

I contacted the Support Chat to get clarification. In fairness, the response was quick. However, his answer was only partially related to my question. I had tried to transfer data because I have unlimited Home data but Limited Roaming Data & I will be roaming in the next 2 weeks. The support person explained that I cannot Home Data is not transferable to Roaming Data. Which begs a number of questions "Why is the Data Carryover facility included as a "benefit" in my plan? Why is there no language distinguishing between Home Data & Roaming Data in the Data Carryover facility description? Why does the app apparently provide Data Carryover functionality to users with unlimited Home Data?" All of which I would like answered, but none of which, even if answered, explain the error messages, the apparent deduction or whether or not the Carryover actually works at all!

You'll have to contact 48 support again to ask them these questions.

They don't generally monitor or respond to posts here on the Community Forum.

I think that the Flexi Data feature probably made more sense before the €12.99 plan with unlimited "home" data was rolled out and plans only had a limited "home" data allowance.

I agree with you that the terminology and help/FAQs around "home" and roaming data and the ways in which the latter can be extended could be clearer.

As far as I know the only way to get more roaming EU/UK data is to buy a data add-on.

https://community.48.ie/t5/The-Knowledge-Base/All-About-Add-ons/ta-p/53111

Hey dalyer, I am not sure why my screenshot is not displaying in the OP. Added there again in this post. What you posted is exactly what I am getting though. I'll try the website next time, cheers!

The app did not have this issue before and should be fixed though. One day I deliberately made this error show probably 20 times in a quick succession in a hope that it would trigger some logging alert on 48's backend, and draw their attention to it. But looks like it hasn't.

So the forum's search function picks it up, in case somebody searches for this error, it is: Server is not responding. Please try again later
