Unfortunately many people still seem to have problems when trying to use roaming services for some reason and nobody from 48 has ever explained why or provided a guaranteed fix.

As such, the usual generic advice for roaming issues applies...

If your SIM predates January 2023 then maybe get a replacement in case it helps with roaming issues:

https://48.ie/help/sim-replacement

It may be worthwhile reviewing these two threads in case any of the suggestions help to avoid roaming problems:

Roaming Issues... For the 5th Time

Hi guys,

I am posting here to get some claryfing before deciding to cancel 48 Mobile plan. I have it for 4.5 years now and every single time (e-v-er-y single time) I need to use the roaming within Europe/UK, I can't. I always need to end up toping up my old Three Mobile number in order to use the internet. End of last year/begining of 2024, 48 Mobile sent us new sim cards informing they have sorted the issue they had with roaming and the new sim card would solve it. I did the exchange but needed to go to Northen Ireland, decided to trust my provider and guess what? The roaming didn't work - even having all the APN settings done as instructed. I couldn't even use the Google Maps to go back home, nor top up my Three Mobile plan. At this time I have all the screenshots to provide.

I always use the The Roaming Troubleshooting Guide and never works.

Could someone enlighten me if there's anything else to be done (once and for all), or I can go ahead and cancel my plan?
