By the way I'm not sure what you mean by the phone can't find its location but that may be because you have GPS/location services disabled or something and this may not change even when you get data working.

Hiya, thank you. Phone went all funny after I tried to add it to network.

I bought the phone in China, it still thinks it's there n is roaming. GPS is on, fine but data not working... what's 48's APN address, please?

I bought a previous Lenovo n had no problems connecting to Tesco mobile and 48 is working off Tesco here too. ( Ireland) So I, and a few of my techy pals are stumped actually. Even called to a few neighbours, I am THAT bothered.

Thank you, ever so much for taking notice of my wee plight and trying to aid me.

It's very kind of you.

Much appreciated.

See the link that I posted above for instructions on how to configure your internet settings.

http://community.48months.ie/t5/Need-Help/Internet/m-p/34493#M12560

If GPS is on and it cannot find your location then are you sure that it's working properly?

Is the phone rooted and is this a custom ROM or whatever it came with?

Somtimes GPS needs to be tweaked to work faster - e.g.:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.fastergps&hl=en

but if it's not working at all then that's strange. If it's a MediaTek SoC phone then this may be relevant but don't do anything unless you understand what you're doing and the possible risks involved:

http://www.chinasmartphonereview.com/fix-gps-problems/

What phone make/model in case I can help as I'm quite familiar with getting phones direct from China myself.

Is everything else working OK - i.e. 48 SIM, connection to 48 network, incoming/outgoing calls and texts?

Hope this helps.

You probably need to use an app/utility to track data usage by app to figure what is using it up.

Once you identify heavy users of data you can disable, uninistall or restrict them.

48 don't support 4G.

Hope this helps.
